First Official Recognition as a Writer

I was honored to win First Prize in Undergraduate Academic Essay in RPI's 2023 McKinney Writing Contest. The April 12, 2023 awards ceremony was an exhilarating rush for me and something of a dream come true for my ideas to have been recognized as important. Writing has always been a strong suit for me, but as an unagented novelist, I'm still trying to find my big break in the publishing industry as a side career. My academic essay "North American Red Fox Rabies Immunity Gene Drive for Safer (Sub)Urban Rewilding" is a theoretical paper exploring the use of genetic modification to fight zoonotic disease with heritable immunity for wildlife.
